Does this not paying apply in Scotland

Yes! Ignore any PPC ticket (unless issued under genuine Railway byelaws with any appeal being for Magisrates Court, or unless the PPC is issuing the ticket for the Council - with any appeal being sent to the Council).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I would have thought that Martin Lewis would be best channelling efforts into stopping these scams rather thank fighting what is now a lost cause on banking charges.

He did so towards the end of 2009 by publishing info in his email and in some newspapers:

    http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/columnists/martin_lewis/498681/How-to-shoot-down-unfair-parking-fines-amp-penalty-charges.html

I agree it would be wonderful if he could put some energy into this issue now. I suggest we pm Martin!

IMHO it's a disaster that the proposed legislation about private parking is being pushed/led by the BPA and those who have a vested interest in the industry. But no-one is taking any interest in the thoughts of the motoring public, motoring organisations nor even landowners who are being USED by the parasites in question! Nor it seems, has any attention been paid by those drawing up the regulations, to the fact that parking on private land is already covered by the civil courts if any trespass/loss is ever alleged.

They are basically trying to regulate a scam!!

  • Hi,

Sorry to bump an extremely old post!

I have similar problems to that above. However the signs were visible that I could only stay 180 minuites, and in the letter they sent me they also have camera images of the number plate when i enetered and when I left.

£70 is a ridiculous amount of money!

Do the number plate images add to their case?

Should I still ignore all correspondance as was commented above?

    Any help appreciated. Thanks!

Just ignore them completely , and the bogus debt collector ones to come, your best bet is to write a nasty letter to morrisons with a complaint about the scam operated by euro that harasses customers who are shopping in their shop, ensure you tell them that you will never shop there again ;)
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

I'll accept £35 if paid within 14 days :rotfl:
You may click thanks if you found my advice useful
  • I have just received my second letter from Euro Car Parks advising that "Failure to pay the outstanding amount within the time specified (28 days) will (not may) result in Euro Car Parks forwarding the outstanding amount to a debt collection agency. Further charges will appy."
I am choosing to ignore their correspondence and hope that in taking your advice I am doing the right thing. My Company has refused to support me in this and has written to me stating that:
As discussed today, if you decide to follow this through and not pay the fine, Loma will not be held responsible for any costs, further fines or expenses.

As the registered keeper of the vehicle, the Co recommends therefore that the fine is paid to stop any further possible charges.

Can I do this without the support of my Company?
