You obviously need to see a dentist.

Equally, you obviously need to see a psychiatrist.

    Get help...of both kinds.

excuse me? dont question my mental health thanks all the same.

want to discuss my mental wellbeing then start another thread entitled 'anthillmob is a !!!!ing nutjob' and watch me get you kicked off here.

under the NHS uda scheme the MAXIMUM any NHS dentist can charge for a course if treatment is £198
that would cover the cost of a new crown - and ensure your dental health is good
under their contract with the PCT the NHS Dentist MUST provide you with a full schedule of treatment and QUOTE for the costs - which you as the patient must sign for BEFORE they commence work
if they are NOT doing this, in my opinion they are NOT a reputable dentist and i would NOT use them

I have recently found a new NHS dentist and have had fabulous treatment - all of which was DISCUSSED with me prior to work commencing

    I had;
examination + scale and Polish + x ray at the 1st appointment
told I needed a wisdom tooth extracted and 2 fillings

I have had phantom tooth ache for some 12 years on and off and my previous VERY expensive private dentist ( had kids since then- can't afford him now!)
and former NHS dentist both said they couldn't find anything wrong despite the excrutiating pain i was in

following my 2nd appointment and 2 fillings I had the pain start up again in the "healthy" tooth
had an emergency appointment with dentist - she took a long hard look at the x rays and confirmed that there was substantial "hidden" decay in the tooth with the severe pain and would extract it after a course of antibiotics

3rd appointment extraction of phantom pain tooth - was ROTTEN - she and I could not believe previous 2 dentists had said nothing wrong!

4th appointment - scale and polish again ( i have severe gingivitis) and extraction of wisdom tooth

cost of all this £44.60 - absolutely fabulous - not a BIT of bother with either extractions or fillings
anyone in Coventry- i REALLY recommend Allesley Park Dental practice !
    love them!
  • you're considering using no more nails instead of visiting a dentist???

of course not. a friend of mine training to be a dentist informs me of many people who have used superglue and failed miserably.

i need to go to the dentists and change dentist to the one who has been reccomended as ive not been happy with mine for a while.

will do after christmas but a pay in installments plan would be the best way to go, i cant afford a straight out payment for the atrociousness. cant i go and have a check up snd re-cement and refuse fillings until i need them/ imknow that sound rank but i cant afford it.
