When enough people are prepared to 'Waste' their time things can be done. I guess Martin Lewis trying to save all consumers money and fight for their rights is a waste of time!! Of course not.
I have to laugh though RBS board are threatening to quit over the £1.5Billion bonus pot if it isn't paid out but they won't refund £35 charges...Greedy F%&^£$s

Totally agree. What about if we the great unwashed threaten to take our money and business elsewhere if they DO get their bonuses? Then they wouldn't have to worry about performance figures because they wouldn't have jobs!

Interesting Facts - An ostrich's eye is bigger than its brain. (I know some people like that.)
Starfish have no brains. (I know some people like that too.) :rotfl:

  • Completely agree that anything which keeps the issue right up there is worth supporting. I had great success with refunds on PPI, and I will be plugging away at RBS using the Clause 5 possible loophole. It fits completely with my situation a few years ago when the bank were piling on the agony, despite repeated visits to the very nice customer adviser who said she had no power to stop the charges. Forget whether the charges were set at the right amount, what they did was to create a massive imbalance between the two parties to a contract - me and the bank. Instead of taking a few months in a new job to crawl back out of the hole, the bank's actions meant I took more than a year to climb back up and breathe air again!

I like Vince Cable. He's the only MP that seems to be on the ball when it comes to consumers' rights.

Earning votes is the principle on which democracy is founded on.

It's very easy to come out with all sorts of wonderful stuff for the prolls when you know you are never going to be in power and have to put it into practice.
  • I also commend Vince Cable for his action. i have never voted for his party in the past but having listened to what he has had to say on many issues over the past year i believe him to be the only trust worthy MP, this being the icing on the cake for me so he'll be getting my vote.

It might not amount to much in fact but it is 1000% more than any other party has done.

Let's not forget under who's stewardship we saw these charges increase to a level where it triggered a public rebellion. The then Chancellor was far too busy handing out knighthoods to bankers to care about the people he was supposed to be serving.

    Any comment G.B. ?

I suspect his rant of silence on the matter will continue.

Shhh! The Glasgow MP might read this

I suspect he realises that like most people who have researched the topic of EDM's that they rarely become law and are pointless, useless and a complete waste of time UNLESS you are looking for votes in a general election. Now surely there isn't going to be one in the next 12 months......nah! can't be so it must be good
I have not worked for NatWest Bank since February 2009
