They have already taken the full amount and may not issue the refunds.

I will be very annoyed if this is the case because as I said the card verification screen only showed £39, yet £69 was taken from my bank.

I only authorised £39 so I would like to know how they managed to take £69.

Well i did not let them save my payment details so how would they be able to take money from account without authorisation?

ive read its written in their terms and conditions that they are allowed to charge full amounts for codes that wern't issued to you directly.

    HI,

If you go to your Account, then transaction history, it should show the £30 as a credit. On the bottom of your comfirmation email it will say the £30 will be credited back to your card before your item is despatched. HTH

I haven't had a confirmation email as yet and my account has not updated.

They have taken the full amount from my bank though!

I just read through the thread on HDUK and it seems that even if the card verification page shows the discounted amount, they still charge the full amount and the discount is credited when the order is confirmed or dispatched.

How could they prove they were not issued directly anyway?

If the discount isn't credited, just keep your item in its packaging and send it back for a full refund.
