Thanks OP...got all the way to the checkout and the £30 off a £60+ spend is valid as a new customer...was intending ordering an ipod classic as this reduction brings it down to a cheaper price than anywhere else.....only drawback is that the delivery date is 21st December....bit too close for me particularly if the 2 week delay means it's presently out of stock...any further delays would give me virtually no time to get another and to the intended new owner, lol!

I just ordered a samsung tocco lite, I paid for it and even on the card secure password screen it showed the amount as £39, however, £69 was taken from bank.

As I understand it, they take the full amount and credit you back the discount, but why would the card screen show £39 and they take £69 from the bank?
