Please help! I have a USB Memory Stick problem!

The problem you are experiencing is that for some reason or another, the controller chip (the chip which interfaces the flash memory with the USB) is not reading the flash memory or not seeing it.
(To simplify, if you think of a CD drive not being able to read the CD in it).
If your data is important, there is a 50/50 chance of recovering the data, but it may cost you a bit. This is dependant on wether it is the drive which is dead, or the flash memory itself.
2 Possible fixes to retrieve data, get an expert to do it and pay him a lot, or if its a simple usb stick, buy and identical one, open up and move chip from one and solder onto another(risky if you dont really know what youre doing). Again though, this is only 50 / 50 chance of working.
Either way you are going to have to send the item back to get a replacement under warranty.
Good Luck either way.
