Courtesy/Loan equipment

Hi,
Wonder if there are any SOGA experts who can clear something up for me.
If an item goes faulty and the retailer is repairing under SOGA/manufacturers waranty, must the retailer provide courtesy/loan equipment (specifically a like for like model) while the original item is being repaired?
Myself and another user have been discussing this in this thread http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=2118075 and we both seem to be finding different information from different consumer/trade bodies. As far as I was concerned the answer is no, but that it is good customer care to offer this service. Where as the other user is of the opinion that like for like courtesy equipment must be offered.
Would be grateful for any advice/opinions.
Thanks

Nope only repair time must not be of serious inconvenience If it is then a refund/replacement should occur.0

Although retailers can negate this by offering some form of loaner, however it doesn't have to be like for like, just enough to limit the inconvenience.Mankysteve wrote: »Nope only repair time must not be of serious inconvenience0
