Yes Loans Beneficial Claims [TEXT DELETED BY ABUSE TEAM] !!BEWARE!!

  • I recall a similar experience in the summer this year. I rang for a loan and they said "yes" in principle and asked me for my debit card details in order to charge £69.50 to my card for their fee.

I said no immediately stating I had never paid upfront for a loan before and they were really insistent and hard-selling. In the end I firmly told them I no longer wanted the loan and hang up on them. However they still sent me the paperwork for signing etc.

Took a couple of phone calls to get them off my back.

I have recently had the most awful experience dealing with Yes loans. They always say "Yes" agreed in prnciple they are regulated by "The Ministry of Justice" this doesn't exist nor has any authority over what they are doing.

    It certainly does exist. http://www.justice.gov.uk/
  • I nearly got scammed by a broker so have found out more on the net. I found out that the Office Of Fair Trading does the licenses for brokers. Yes Loans have been in trouble and their now being watched. Type in "OFT, Yes Loans" into a search and you should find the details of EXACTLY what Yes Loans HAVE to do to keep their license - and complain to OFT if their not doing it.
  • Hello everyone,
Sorry it's been a while, my computer was playing up and I was unable use it. I just thought I would update you on my latest news with Beneficial Loans. A girl called me today to say that I would be getting a refund and that they would pay it back to the card they took it from (mmm wonder how they do that then?). Anyway she was very pleasant, and said there would be no problem in refunding my money but that it may take 4 or 5 weeks for the refund to be applied. I won't hold my breath, but wait patiently to see. I will keep you guys updated. Many thanks again for all advice given, it really helped to have your support. All the best Jolly Jo x
  • oh my god! i wish i had usd my head and seen this forum 2 months ago! here we go.. i contacted "yes" loans and was put through to benificial claims promising me they would write off my 18grand debt. yes i have been nieve and yes i have been stupid as i am in a right financial mess and this was like music to my ears! anyway, they wanted 898 quid review fee then 10% of the debt after which was around £2000. everytime i had doubts (and i had many cause something didnt seem right) i was "put at ease" and "sweet talked by a Dan Bevan senior benificial claims rep.. stupidly i went with it as i had no where else to turn and desperate! i paid them a payment of £235 in nov 09 and was going to pay the rest of the review fee monthly. i recieved a call from a Andrew cuzins B/C at the end of November saying to me that my debts were "unenforcable" and they was 100% going to get write off...he also said to me that if i pay £50 on my card there and then that i wouldnt have to pay the rest of the review fee (around £600) as my case was one of the easiest cases he had seen? and as a "good will gesture" i didnt have to pay no more money for the review fee! as u can imagine this was yet again music to my ears, i set up a agreement of paying 4 instalments of £500 starting in jan 2010.. anyway...... i went to get cash out of my bank today as i had just been paid only to find i was overdrawn?? on checking the statements (while been in a state of shock on how i was going to live for the next month) i found that benificial claims had taken all the review fees of £498 which i was promised i didnt have to pay and they wouldnt take! as well as the £500 which i new about.. i have made numerous calls to try and track down this Andrew cuzins (who is aparently head senior advisor) but only to find him constantly un-available. i have been promised he will call me back but never does and no one in the office seems to be able to help me with my dilema! THIS COMPANY HAS RUINED ME! i stopped paying my creditors as told by B/C i scraped the money together to pay them in hope that i would finaly see some light at the end ofthe tunnel...they even sent me letters saying my debts are write off, surely thats against the law and i could take them to court????
up to date i have paid them £1200 and i feel tottaly sick/depresed/had/ashamed and so so angry! i have been left with no money in the bank and no money to live.. i feel so stupid and just want to go and smash there faces in!

what i need to no and would GREATLY appreciate is how would i go about getting my money refunded?? by reading these posts it seems i aint the only one but my ammount is massive compared to most which in turn makes me a MASSIVE PLONKER for doing it! im confused and angry as i dont no where to start n doubt there going to refund me in the next week or so... THESE PEOPLE NEED STOPPING! and now im skint and in dire all down to my own stupidity.

i was always told that "if it seems too good to be true then it probely is" i new that but was desperate and have learned a valuble lesson!

    please help

if i pay £50 on my card there and then that i wouldnt have to pay the rest of the review fee (around £600) as my case was one of the easiest cases he had seen?

I genuinely feel sorry for your situation but unfortunately I can't have too much sympathy for your attempt at avoiding repaying the money you borrowed.

These companies make so much money just by smiling and saying any old bollox.

I'm glad you have learned your lesson, tackle your debts by speaking to the CCCS or CAB.

Your attempt at scamming the people you owe money to has led to you being scammed yourself.

These evil scum prey on the desperate and the ignorant.

Until you have been desperate yourself its hard to know how foolishly people can be persuaded to act under stress. Not under stress they'd probably never go in for some of these things and worse.

Maximus, 2 things you really must do 1) contact CCCS or your local CAB and get some serious and FREE advice about your debt. CAB could probably also give you some advice about your current predicament
    2) Review the material on the debt free wannabe board. I'll tell you now that while a lot of advice can be offered to you if you post there, the general offering is to cut back on everything and live like a hermit for X number of years till your debt free - BUT - they will be a lot more understanding of those of us who do foolish things and live to regret it than the more hard nosed posters on the other financial boards

Agreed, the DFW board is more about cuddles than a slap in the face from the other boards.
  • i agree with your point APPLES, but my debts have come from a marrige that ended in 2005 and has been dragging me down for years... desperate i was.. and its cost me 12oo quid for me to learn my lesson.. i doubt very much i will get my money back and im going to cancel my card today so they dont start having a free for all next month!

I shall take your advice JIM on what u have said, i should of gone to CAB in first place as well as checking this forum WHAT HAPPENED TO ALL THE HONEST PEOPLE IN THE WORLD EH?? ahhhhh. anyhow, cheers for your comments and advice, i new i should of taken that "!!!!!! audition" job years ago!!! maybe i wouldnt be in this mess now eh... will keep you posted ;-(
