Yes Loans Beneficial Claims [TEXT DELETED BY ABUSE TEAM] !!BEWARE!!

I have recently had the most awful experience dealing with Yes loans. They always say "Yes" agreed in prnciple they are regulated by "The Ministry of Justice" this doesn't exist nor has any authority over what they are doing. This is a scam, [TEXT DELETED], even the people who work for Yes loans don't understand who they are. They have no FSA number, or no-one at Yes loans [TEXT DELETED BY ABUSE TEAM] could tell me it. They are not a Limited company. Beneficial Finance is a Limited company and has the same Directors as Yes Loans Limited. They are crooks and will scam you for £69.50 for brokering a loan to their own loan company. Beneficial Finance will offer to take £245 from you to clear any loan you have taken out prior to April 2007. The whole set up is a scam and the government should shut them down immediately before any more vulnerable people phone them up and get their money stolen. DO NOT USE THEM they give you absolutely nothing.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

I too - am foolish for believing in Beneficial Claims. They called me yesterday when I arrived home from work harassed, saying how the could wipe my debt off my credit card. At first I was very strong and stated that I couldn't believe that my debt could be wiped out without a penalty charge. The guy went on to explain that they were part of the "ministry of the government", or something or other, and he went on and on, convincing me that their company were calling to help me. Anyway I could kick myself now, the amount of times I've told myself NEVER EVER give my credit card details over the phone - this I am ashamed to say is what I did and £245.00 was charged to my credit card that very same evening. I called my credit card company who confirmed this charge and have told me they would block my credit card (in case any more money was swiped) and they would try to get the money refunded for me. I called Beneficial Claims to say that I did not want to go ahead, the girl there stated that I should wait for the claims pack to arrive then decide, but told me that I should put it in writing that I did not wish to go ahead. I am more worried now than ever as I've just had more debt added to my card by a company who have not even provided a service. Please, please DO NOT do as I did, I am worried sick, and annoyed with myself for being so stupid.0

Hi Utillity warrior
i have also had bad experience with yes loans ,they took £69.50 off me ,claimed i had 14 days cooling period to get a refund so i more or less changed my mind a couple of days after they took my money, made numerous phone calls to them for a whole month ,sent 2 letters to them the last letter i threatened to take legal action or go to watchdog ,they said it takes 30 days to get a refund which is rubbish as i read about someone else that had problems and got a refund more or less straight away.i find getting through to them by phone hard ,your forever in a queue .i have also been contacted by flm saying i have been guaranteed a loan but i need a guarantor so thanks for the warning about them.0 -
I have really done some digging around about this bunch of Charlatans and have discovered the following:
"Christmas day at yes loans 2006 resulted in disqualified Director Keith Chorlton Head butting an employee Ian Byrd after a few too many drinks and after hearing he did not contribute to his birthday present which ironically was a 6ft human like punch dummy to relive 'stress', the matter is currently pending further investigation by cwmbrawn police.
Another pending police investigation happened the same day at the Black Birds pub round the corner from the offices, where Keith Chorltons son James Chorloton, was also involved in assaulting another employee Barry Chick.
FSA are coming to investigate March 6TH 07, director of bluseky finance (in the same building part of the yesloans group) Philipa Owen is desperatly trying to prepare for this." from a website with many details of the bad practices about Yes Loans.
James Chorlton is Keith Chorlton's son and he is one of the named Directors of Yes Loans. I understand that they have around 32,000 applications for loans a month that equates to £2,224,000 a month revenue to them for doing absolutely nothing. It must be stopped. They do not broker your loan as they state they pass it to one of their own companies at extotionate interest rates. For them it is money for nothing. Stay away!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:0 -
What's more surprising is that people respond to cold callers and merrily give out all their financial details.
Sorry guys but your biggest mistake is not putting the phone down when you received a cold caller. You are NOT being strong on the phone if you persist in talking to this stranger ringing out of the blue to get your money.
If people could see the obvious scam in front of their eyes, these companies would be nowhere near as successful as they are now.
How else can the rest of us help you guys out?
This website has all the answers, all the advice, all the evidence of the scam.
There will be loads of members telling you to avoid the scam but for one reason or other, you guys only come on here after you have been ripped off.
It takes a few seconds to check, search for reviews.
Anyone cold calling = SCAM, put the flippin phone down for pitties sake!!
Online offer sounds fantastic = Search MSE for the companies/website name (and/or Google).
It isn't difficult chaps, you guys are ensuring these companies flourish and always will unless you change the way you respond to offers.0 -
Yes - I do agree we are not strong enough, I received their rubbish through the post this morning, the credit card company that I am with told me they would try to get my money back. Does anyone think I should phone Beneficial Claims to fight for my money or should I leave that to my credit card company? I feel like screaming! I've been so stupid. It says in the small print of Beneficial Claims that I would get a full refund if I cancelled within 14 days - in writing, but somehow I think they would probably deny getting a letter, can I send their claim forms to someone else to get them stopped? What will I do? Please help?0

First of all you need to send a recorded delivery letter to them. Contact the Financial Ombedsman Bureau and report your concerns. They will deal with it for you as the company have to refund your money if you are unhappy with their service and you can prove they haven't done anything. Most people unwittingly contact the company as they have seen the adverts on the telly. It is only after they put the phone down and feel that the call was not really with a particularly professional company that alarm bells start ringing. then you start checking them out then you realise oh my god whatever have I got myself into. When you first contact this kind of company most people do not expect that they can legally be treated like this so don't expect a scam. Underneath we all trust the propoganda until it's proved it is incorrect. Keep on bombarding this company via FOB and eventually something will be done about it. Help by posting on websites to try and stop vulnerable people for falling for the same thing.0

It's all very well but some people are not expecting a scam. I genuinely was seeking a loan and I am a tenant so I'd seen the adverts so I phoned them. They advised based on the information I gave them that my loan had been agreed in principle. I don't have a particularly poor credit rating I am a tenant hence I contacted them, it's tough out there at present and sometimes a short term loan is needed. I had no idea that I would be treated in this way, I wasn't expecting it. If someone is purporting to be selling financial services then one expects them to be regulated. Why would I check them out beforehand? It's getting people into the habit of checking everything out before hand because in this stinking world today you CANNOT TRUST ANYONE OR ANYTHING ANYMORE.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:0 -
Right - that's it then - I'm going to send them my cancellation letter by recorded delivery, demand my money back and send their forms to the Financial Obedsman along with a letter of complaint. I'll let everyone know how I get on. Thank you everyone for assisting with all your advice - yes I was stupid, yes - I was vulnarable and I will be more careful in future. If I don't get my money back, I will put that down to a bad experience and not dwell on it, thank you everyone, I don't know what I would have done without you all. x0

My self made rule is that if they need to hard sell it then it isn't worth having. I have never been scammed minus once with a website called Swoopo which is still legally going :mad:0

Yes I know common sense is DEFINATELY something that I lacked on that day. My letter to them was sent yesterday, recorded delivery and I have contacted the Financial Ombusman, so I'll see what happens next (I won't hold my breath though). A million thanks to Utility Warrior & wrangler5 for all you're advice (and telling off's) it's really made me feel that I have support from you guys, and it's also taught me a lesson to not be so trusting. I will be slamming the phone down on these cold callers.0
