Suppliers of life of balance cards

Hi all, newbie here so apologies if this is covered elsewhere, but I searched and couldn't find it.

Is there a list anywhere of various cards, and the companies behind them?

My reason for asking: I have an MBNA card and a Barclaycard, and am looking for a life-of-balance-transfer card, but that means that I can't apply for either the Leeds or Barclaycard which are mentioned on the main site, as I already have the Barclaycard

I found the Cooperative bank credit card, 9.9% APR for 5 years anyone have any opinions on that (or know who's behind it?):-

Much better than the 31% APR have got me on, methinks...?

Thanks for reading!:D

  • Barclaycard currently offer 6.9% Life of Balance for existing customers, its on their website.

Don't think there are many others out there at the moment... Citi have stopped their one which had a pretty good APR... think the two on Martins list are the main 2 that are about...
Point of interest though is that I just had a letter from Barclaycard about getting a new card from them with a 0% transfer offer... I don't know if you can find somewhere to transfer your debt on that card to and then back again?

  • Wannabe, I'm not so sure about that - if you click Barclaycard's to cards which are available to existing customers, it only lists two - not including the Simplicity card. (Although it does mention Breathe, which I think is the one MrsTine mentions)

According to the LOB table on stoozing.com, the Co-op card is supplied by themselves, so at 9.9% I think this would be next best after Leeds and Simplicity.
  • log on to your account and click on balance transfer. I've just logged in and clicked on it and it states 6.9% LOB and mine wasn't one of the ones listed either on the main page.

Failing that, give them a ring, it's worth a try.

With a Barclaycard Platinum Simplicity credit card, no handling fee applies
provided you shift your debt within 60 days of opening the card.

When transferring to an existing Barclaycard using a life-of-balance offer,
    a 2.50% handling fee applies
