PAYG: which network/priceplan?

I am sure that I am not alone in the confusion over which network or priceplan to choose for a mobile gift this christmas.

I plan to get DD a phone this year, Tocco Lite looks OK but there are so many deals re PAYG options I'd appreciate a little assistance from those who may already be on them.

Few I am looking at are:
Orange Monkey £10 pm: 300 texts + free 4 music
Orange Dolphin £10 pm: £10 creadit +300 texts + £9 facebook internet
T mobile £10: free texts/internet for life

Are there any catches that I should be aware of? Any I've not mentioned but worth a look at.
Hope to get some helpful feedback

Depending on what you'll be using for phone for is the best way to decide - is it more texting or are you more of a talker?

Also, you may want internet browsing. Be careful though as prices do vary on the different tariffs, for example, Orange will charge more per minute on certain price plans, so if you are going to spend more on your calls so that you can get unlimited texts maybe take that into consideration. Also, most of these bundles only last for a month and don't roll over to the next month if you don't use them up.

    Hope this helps.
