Help! double order with affordablemobiles

Hi,
Could someone please help me with this. I have inadvertently ordered 2 of the same phones on PAYG when I intended to order one. Iemailed them straight away when the confirmation screen showed it. I have tried calling them but the line keeps cutting off after being put on hold.
Do you think I will get a refund.?This might cause me to go into unauthorised overdraft.
What shall I do please?

    Get things in writing immediately - you have a 7 day (only) cooling off period. Request (in writing) the procedure for returning the phone stating unequivocally that you wish to cancel one of them.

    You have 7 days to return anything bought online, so either send it back when it arrives or only sign for one and let the carrier take the other one back.

    Thanks for all your replies. I have still not received a reply from the email that I sent. First thing tomorrow morning I am sending them a recorded delivery letter stating what mobile junkie suggested.

    Recorded delivery will get a signature on delivery, BUT it travels with the ordinary post and is untraceable until it's delivered, and even then, you won't be able to see if it's been delivered until after your 7 days is up. Plus, the mail is building up for Christmas, so you don't want to leave anything to chance. It might cost you a fiver, but send it Special Delivery, guaranteed to be delivered by 1pm on Monday.
  • I assume your email to them DID state that you wanted to cancel one of the contracts? I would send another email so that (should it be necessary) you can prove that you made every attempt to notify them but were ignored. This is not a company I would chance my arm with and unless you know exactly who you're dealing with ordering over the internet may be something to avoid.

    Hi again,
    Thanks for your replies again. The phones were actually PAYG.I got hold of someone last night on the phone who said they were going to pass it on to the processing team that I have advised them that I wanted only one.Therefore I will receive one and a refund for the second.Why is my heart still not at ease?Haven't had any email from them at all.
    I also wonder why their final pay now screen has only the price for one handset unless you look in the quantity ordered box.

    Edit: Just got off the phone to them and it's been confirmed that there is only one phone on that order.Thanks
