I just cant believe anyone would willingly pay £100 for a tree,I guess it must be one of those pre-decorated things, personally I would want it twinkling with diamonds for that dosh!.

100 quid for a tree ...crickey! but thats another thread lol

I think homebase have been reasonable tbh...Yes, it's annoying and irritating but they have offered you a full refund, enabling you to buy a nicer tree, cheaper:p, elsewhere.

They have probably been overwhelmed with demand for that fabulous10 ft 9ct gold trimmed with diamonds tree at the bargain price of £100 :rotfl:it's no wonder they've ran out of stock.

You could try seeing if another homebase has the same tree on display and ask if you can purchase that at a reduced price....or look around some more...there are lots of lovely trees to be had at a much better price.

It's a tree; honestly, it's not the end of the world.

Get your money back, and move on in life.

It is nothing to get thoroughly exasperated about.

  • I hope it wasn't when Hombase were selling their trees half price

You need to make up your mind what exactly you want Homebase to do that will make you happy then ask for it, if you don't get it then take your money and go to B&Q who are selling loads of trees half price.

Hiya, get your money back and find another tree, complaining won't help at all Homebase once tried to accuse me of stealing a door..... that's right a 6ft door!!

I won't shop there at all and can tell you writing to head office won't help l never even got an apology.

    Happy moneysaving all.

I think it is a national conspiracy against you. They waited for you to order the tree then took your payment and checked through your bank transactions. Next they checked to see if the tree would compiment the decor of your house via fibre optic cameras. After this they sent a satellite into space to track your every move to check that you didn't look at any other trees. Once they were certain that this was the tree you really wanted they hid them all from sight as you were driving there (remember the satellite tracks your every move).

Or possibly they sold out or were let down on an order coming in. ITS A TREE!!! Surely there are more places that sell trees near to you or on ebay. Get a grip
