i was just wondering if banks could be charged with the criminal offense of obtaining property by deception ?
if you believe that the banks can only charge you say £5 - £10 for the admin etc connected with the overdraft charge and they then charge you £25 -£35 for it then that constitutes obtaining property by deception as the bank knows it only costs between £5 - £10 but charge you £25 , they are depriving the owner of property by way of deception (saying it costs more than it does, and charging you the £25 ,saying that is what it costs , well they should prove that but if they cannot then does that not mean they are committing an illegal action )
does anyone have any thoughts on this?
This is a joke thread right?
If you get bank charges, it doesn't make a difference if you agree or not.

Anyone that has the tiniest amount of brain power knows the charges BEFORE they do something to incur them.
If someone CBA to read terms and conditions, then gets charged, there is nothing to whine about.

A representation is false if— (a)
it is untrue or misleading, and

    (b)
the person making it knows that it is, or might be, untrue or misleading.

its misleading as they state it costs £25 - £35 and they know it doesnt as they cannot even prove £10 - £12 costs as shown by financial expert previously

  • It is daylight robbery and totally immoral, a few times where i or my partner in the past have received charges, we have phoned to complain and they have said that a letter was sent to us before hand, but we denied any such letters, as nothing had been sent to us to pre warn us, so we managed on a few occasions to get them refunded on the spot, however, the amount that they charge is ludicrous, when in actual fact it costs the bank little or nothing in admin! Majority of banks income is based upon charges alone, and when money has been taken from someone's account because the bank allowed the person to go overdrawn could in any normal circumstances be considered theft.

But then I do hate capitalism! So I may be being biased here!
