thanks guys. I will share the breakdown when get the car this afternoon. The car was sent off already : -(

Can I claim some money back even if job is done on the basis that they overcharge us?

    tks
You could try arguing the toss with them but you probably won't get anywhere and don't have a leg to stand on legally as long as they've done the job properly.
They offer a service/product at £350. You accept this price and the product and service. End of story really I'm afraid.
Personally I have no idea if its reasonable or not, but I do know the legalities of it. :D

Looks okay to me (brake pipe looks a little dear)

Susprised they didn't try to convince you to change both coil springs though so thats a bonus.

Interesting to see you can buy somethings for £3, I thought they were more than that!

LOL, Something should be for nothing.
  • £54 for a MOT seems very high priced to me unless it was a main dealer?

I agree the brake pipe replacing seems a bit expensive but we dont know how much was replaced and if it was difficult to get to, some can be tucked away.

You're meant to replace coil springs in pairs really but it's fine if you're looking to save money.

The "something for £3.00" made me chuckle as well!

PS £54 is the maximum a garage can charge for an MOT. Pretty much all the ones round my way charge that. There are a couple that do offers but I'm betting they'd make it up with "work that needs doing". I paid £54 for my last one at a centre that doesnt do repairs and it passed first time :)

I was £60 to get a brake pipe replaced, including labour and parts (an Audi A4 - not main dealer obviously!)
