Orange Contract - Advice Please!!
Hello,
I have been an orange customer for approximately 10 years, i took my first contract phone out with them 19 months ago, and this was renewed last month for another 18 months. I got a new phone and adjusted my contract using there best plan set up.
All sorted or so i thought?!
They sent me my new phone, with a new sim card which had to be registered. I did this through the 150 number, my old sim stopped working and my new one was activated with my orignal number.
However, when my first bill arrived i had been charged double my agreed monthly payment.
I phoned orange to query this and they stated i had 2 number registed to my name, with 2 contracts. Initially i thought it was fraud and someone had stole my details.
It tuns out, orange signed me up for a second contract when i registered thesim card, so i stated politely that it must be a mistake and please cancel the second contract and i will continue paying my initial bill.
The customer service woman, was very unhelpfull and pretty much said 'NO', i am tied in for 18 months and will have to continue to pay the 2 contracts.
Surely there must be a way round this, please note i havent signed any paperwork for the second contract, which supposedly has a second number but i only have been given 1 phone and 1 sim card?!!
Any advice, or similar experiences would be very greatfull!!

You spoken to a twit in CS who should know better.
You can either wait for the Orange Rep on here to ask you to contact him,
Or contact the Exec office who will sort it out for you.

Ask them for proof of the second contract, the phone number, the sim number of the second contract.
If the sim of the second contract is the same as the sim of your original number now, then you can prove that it is their systems that have screwed up.
If the sim of the second contract isn't a sim you have, then ask them where this is, has it ever been turned on, it wasn't authorised, and you want a copy of the documentation / phone call..
that's for starters, i'm sure someone else will give you more info0 -
how did you renew? - go back to the team from the channel you renewed withYes Your Dukeiness
