I am looking for some help and info on skymultiroom if anyone can help
I have been with sky for 7/8 years now on the full sky world package (if thats what its still called) and recently took up the offer of an upgrade to sky+ after my box or dish was faulty.
I am now looking to add multiroom to my subscription but wondered if anyone knows of any good offers at present for this?
On the website it shows as £49 for an addition standard box and £60 for installation, does anyone know of anything cheaper or is it worthwhile trying to haggle with them to get a better deal? Ideally i would prefer a sky+box for multiroom but that comes inat something like £249 in addtional one off costs.
Any help or info would be much appreciated
Thanks in advance

Nice username BTW.
I'm not sure of any deals but I would suggest, at this stge, that upgrading to SkyHD would make sense. The one-off costs are lower although there is a HD subscription and Multiroom to pay meaning £20 a month increase.0 -

thanks for the reply NASA
I would upgrade to the HD service however right now, none of the tv's in the house are HD ready, i did notice on the sky site that the one off costs are much much less though :beer:0 -
I've recently rejoined sky, I asked customer service about getting Multiroom, after saying the set up cost was too expensive, he told me to wait for the december sky mag as there would be a deal in there. I haven't got mine through yet, but anyone who has, give it a check and there should be an offer in it.0

Why not DIY?
Run satellite cable from one of the spare outputs on the LNB.
Get a cheap second hand box, making sure it is close to a telephone socket, as to be eligible for multiroom all digiboxes need to be connected to a working phone line.
Get Sky to provide the card.RIP independent MSE.

Thanks for the advice, the thought never even crossed my mind to DIY as am pretty thick when it comes to doing stuff like that. If however i cant find any offers to lessen the prices Sky want for extra box and installation, then I may just try this option. Thanks Again :beer:0 -
anyone got a copy of the magazine for December that could advise what the offer was ? (if any)0

I had a very strange conversation with sky. I wanted a multiroom subscription but no additional box ie I pay them another £10 a month. This did not compute with the lady from sky who insisted I bought a box; HD, sky+.
Is it possible just to get multiroom without purchasing an additional box (maybe a standard box fro free?)0
