What is skype on a mobile phone like?

I must admit the deal on 3 seems amazing so I would be interested to hear the pros and cons. Free calls on skype, internet access, etc. Which sets without spending fortunes are worthwhile? The deal for a skypephone for undr#er £30 seems terrific value unless the phone is poor.
So over to you experts.

  • I got the INQ Mini and use a Skype Out subscription (go through TopCashBack for 35% refund) and it is great. No real difference to using it on the PC or on the house DECT cordless phone. Great for when out of the house.

Left on and logged in, the battery lasted over a week.

i've got the app for the iphone but you need to be connected to wifi

you'll find on 3 that skypeIN doesn't work out the box.... but there are loopholes, you need to google them.

On PC skypeIn works but on 3 mobile, the caller will be directed to voicemail.

Can the inq mini be used as a modem to talk on camera over skype on your pc?

I know it can be used as a modem and its great but I want to know if its able to be used for skype with video over a laptop?

It really is a great deal that inq mini for 39.99 quid and just top up 5er every 90 days for free internet etc.

Also have a look at mobivox. It connects your landline your Skype account and you can then call skye. Inclusing a 3 mobile phone logged into Skype. Set it up for family to phone relative who only has 3 mobile and they can talk for 60mins beofre having to hang up and call again.
