I imagine that'll be a huge amount of work to sift through ALL the orders they've received today .... maybe they'll just cancel the silly ones, and allow the wee ones to stand?

Unfortunately it's very simple for them to write a computer program such as "cancel all orders equaling £3.50" or "cancel all ordes where 2 codes have been used" etc. Just depends what criteria they decide to use...

M&S have a stunningly bad reputation for cancelling orders, even in normal circumstances.

In a situation like this, getting a fulfilled order would be roughly the same odds as winning the lottery, and it's just a matter of time now before all the barrack room lawyers pile in with their views on contract law.
  • I see - to be fair to him though that hamsters thread is tempting for a wind up ;)
    lol
i got a hamster and car etc from littlewoods no bother, posted it on that thread to be helpfull, no thxs for telling them somewhere that actually has them in stock:rolleyes: as they would rather phone up stores they know have no stock
i cant understand what the obsession is, i only ordered it as little girl likes animals, i didnt know they were going mental about them:eek:

Visa debit is the same as normal Visa when it comes to paying in stores, I have ordered through M&S before with Visa Debit and it was fine :)

:rotfl:I saw them back in Sept and thought they would be good for my DD so pre ordered a couple of bits but when I joined the hamster thread I got a bit carried away with buying and ending up getting most of the add on's! :D

I wouldn't however possess quite the dedication to the cause that some of the posters have to getting hold of the stock (staying up all night etc...!

There are all sorts of posters on there - mainly hardcore ebayers/desparate mum's and some are lovely but it's all a bit too mad for me now - I can't relate anymore :D

Such a shame that some people's greed will likely spoil it for the majority. Good luck to them though if all orders go through. I did order some stuff ... £66 down to £10 and I felt a bit guilty about that!
Thanks to the OP and I hope that those of us who didn't go OTT don't lose out.
