She's just like this! If I make baked beans and chips with something, the beans have to be in a bowl or they will spread across the plate and, *gasps*, TOUCH something :rotfl:
I'm having tinned baked beans and sausages on toast for tea but even the sausages will be separate on the plate and eaten last. Unfortunately I'm not of school age (21) so am likely to be this strange for the rest of my life, your daughter has a chance of growing out of it.. cos even I think its weird. :rotfl:
aliasojo - I also hate people touching me. I used to be so bad I broke a guys nose by struggling away from him when he went to hug me.
My mum put her feet up on the couch next to me the other day and they were almost touching my leg... I had to cover them with the newspaper so I could trick myself into thinking that they werent there. I think I'll shut up now 'cos I'm showing myself up to be a very strange person.0 -

Don't tell anyone, but I think she gets it from me. I'm not too fussed about food touching (apart from broccoli, I won't eat anything touched by the devils food!), but I NEVER combine foods on my plate, so I would do what you do and eat the beans then the sausages despite them being in the tin together, and I generally tend to eat clockwise from 6 o'clock round.
She has no hope, despite being only 11 :rotfl:

AHA! I can finally blame my mum! She's not weird about food (although that's debatable 'cos she's a vegetarian) but she does have OCD and everything has to be just so.. I'm also a carbon copy of her in almost every way which again doesn't help. So now I can say it's her fault because I picked it up from her. TADA! problem solved. :T
.. Only joking. I can't just blame my mum for my weirdness... There's my dad too :rotfl:0 -

Actually my OH wont eat his food if there has been an egg on the plate. So if we have breakfast out for example, he always asks for no egg...sometimes they forget and slap an egg on the plate anyway (which I think is quite good because then I could have an extra one). But oh no you can't just take it off his plate and put it onto mine....cos the rest of the food will be tainted in some way. < loads of them. He has to send it back and get another one.
I'm positive they just take it back to the kitchen, scrape it off the plate and wipe the bit of plate with kitchen roll. It makes him happy though. Silly man.

lol! how would you order when you eat out in a restaurant Polly?
Would you order lots of side dishes rather than a main meal on one plate?0 -
Mine have all just arrived, perfectly packed and intact. I am sooo pleased, I have put some in the car so I don't forget to drop them off at my charity later so we can add them to the raffle prizes for the party on Friday.
The rest will be wrapped for Christmas pressies and I have a few fizzes left over for my friends and I for our regular cinema visit. We usually sneak in a little bottle of something nice each and a chocolate bar, this time we cna have kir Royale!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. OH DEAR LORD! A cooked breakfast made by someone else is an awful thought. Beans have sauce which will touch everything else and the egg might split and seep everywhere! No no, it's far safer if you make it yourself so you can make sure nothing touches, and then you also know you have a clean plate. Shimples :T
oh my god i'm watching this morning and the man is pouring peas everywhere on the plate !!!!!! it's a disgrace. I can't even watch.
... Now I really am starting to sound nutty :rotfl:I guess that's the beauty about forums, nobody knows who you reeeeeally are, so no one knows really. If you type it on the internet it doesn't exist in the real world... or something like that anyway.

Maybe you should have my OH. :rotfl:

Lol I am the same with things touching on the plate, only stuff like beans though. It will make things soggy! But I drench my roast dinner etc in gravy, figure that one out. I used to love custard and rice pudding together when I was younger but Id have them in seperate bowls and add one spoonful of custard at a time. :rotfl:(another weirdo here!)
What does the festive fizz taste like, is it really winey?I hate wine and in fact all alcohol except baileys! I dont usually drink but the festive fizz sounds nice with the fizzy blackcurrant juice?

I usually have a pasta dish where its supposed to all be mushed together. I don't go out for sunday lunch because they always mess the vegetables up by mixing them with everything else; I am going for christmas day lunch though and have specifically requested seperate plates for the veg and no gravy. I don't care if they think i'm a ninny, I'm paying £70 a head so I expect any reasonable requests to be met else I shall cause a stink.:T0
