DLA doctor was out today. Well Dr from Atos. He was nice, I was scared we talked through a day. In the end he says he will be sending them a favourable as it is obvious I have some mobility problems and issues. Not a clue what that actally means though.MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/2000 0 0

Do they normally tell you if it is a favourable report, does anyone know? My daughter had a doctor out last week but he didn't say anything about the report other than he would send it in. Do you think this means it wasn't likely to be favourable?OD [STRIKE] £2600 [/STRIKE] £0 :j Loan [STRIKE]£9500.00[/STRIKE] £0 :j Car [STRIKE]£3150[/STRIKE] £0 :j Moving Costs [STRIKE]£1300[/STRIKE] £0 :j Savings £1150 :j

If thinks don't go to plan contact your local council and they have benefits advisers. I got turned down twice for DLA and then contacted a fantastic advisor who came out to the house and filled all my forms in as I wasn't going to appeal again but she did everything for me. I went from being turned down to getting low rate carers and high rate mobility indefinatley. Bear this option in mind just in case but fingers crossed XXXX0

I was on lower mobility and lower care due to a severe anxiety disorder and someone at the benefits office said to contact dla and let them know my condition had worsened as it had. Finally got back to me and said no change to my money because I wasn't on any medication and so couldn't be that ill. (Used to be on lots of different ones but none at all made any impact on it and my doctor and psychiatrist thought psychotherapy would be better for me. Apparently anxiety is hard to treat with medication) etc so I appealed. Went to tribunal with no helper, just my 14 year old son who stayed in waiting room. No letters from anyone because I didn't think to get them as they had them a couple of years before. No medical evidence at all. I got upset as soon as I got to the waiting room because I have social phobia and they moved me to a private waiting area. Anyway went in to try and get the medium care and told the truth. Because of the nature of my illness I got very very upset and panicked and stood up to walk out. Actually said "I can't do this, it isn't worth the humilation.) They got me a cup of coffee. Was in there for short while. Lovely people who didn't talk down to me. Basically asked me what life was like for me day to day. Waited in waiting room for around 10 minutes afterwards and got called back in. Was given Higher Care which hadn't entered my head. Must be madder than I thought!0

Yuki - Glan you got the award you deserve. Well done.
Only news here is I got a copy of the DLA medical report from the tribunal service through the post today. Not actually sure what it all means but it seems to be accurate. Does anyone know what happens now? Does the tribunal call me again or do they make a decision in my absence??MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/2000 0 0
