I had a text from a friend that Walsall Argos had 6. Got there and all gone. Apparently they are not expecting anymore stock before Christmas. I do not know how true it is. Good job I was going to Smyths anyway.
I managed to get my first hamster today. I called Argos and they had two in stock. I was told that they could not reserve one but they would put it on 'view' and pop it under the counter. You would think that I had a secret document or hunk of precious material the way I had the hamster under my coat.
I know the lady in tesco said loads of people had been after them today! I took mine out of the boxthey where delivered in and put them in a carrier and one of them started sqeaking....i was thinking i hope nobody hears it else they might try and pinch it! :rotfl::rotfl: I think this hamster hunting has sent us all doo lally!! :rotfl::rotfl:0 -

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm think thisll be a tru mystery then - so sum ppl paid for upgraded delivery and got dhl, ones for standard got royal mail and sum seem to have vanished..... maybe vanished ones in similar area?? im midlands.....
wud love to think my order is just delayed, but cant see how 2 orders from 2 previous days arrived fine, one on friday and one on the monday, then the next one vanished.......... guess ill be on the phone again tomorro chasing refund!0 -
Yes, but why would they send an e mail confirmation of the order, then another e mail saying it had been despatched, then another e mail saying the order was complete if they hadn't processed it and sent it out. May be its a lorry load from Friday's orders that just hasn't been processed by royal mail yet.
It might just be delayed yes, but why did they refund someone earlier when RM don't class a parcel as missing until 15 days after it was posted, seems strange that they are so quick to refund when they should be telling people to wait a bit longer in case it is held up.
I also wonder, the people who have got their orders, what delivery charge did you pay? I just paid for Standard Delivery £4.95 so maybe the people who have got theirs paid the £9.95 or whatever it is for Next Day delivery.Sealed Pot Challenge #0160 -

Has anyone tried using a misspell site?
I've just found a mr squiggles ending in the morning and it's not as £££ as others due to the misspelling of 'hamster' - item number

How about me tonight, might give someone a laugh..
managed to snag the two hammies form tesco at the start of the week, went to collect them from store tonight, spent 15mins waiting to be seen by the one girl behind the desk. Gave me my box of hamsters and then the missus phones me to get a bit of shopping, after spending 30mins walking around a massive tescos trying to get the odd stuff. Get to the car and I dont know why but i had an urge to check my hammies were ok, theres only chunk in the box!!! Queued for another 15mins only to be told by the manager that she opened the box in front of me and there was definatley two in there... for her to then realised that she didnt actualy serve me! noddy. Then she said sorry we have had so many people in today picking them up i always open the box in front of the customers, no i felt like i was under the microsope and i had took one out and then come back in, long story short as i'm ranting now... they refunded one so i've only got one hamster.
Really fed up - three girls one hamster is not a good mix.
If the box was empty then the sales assistant who picked them up from the shelf would have felt the difference in weight of the two? If she didn't then what about the person who put them on the shelf ready to be picked up?
Is the only assumption that a tesco staff member has stolen it?
Whatever happened, that is really unfair to you and tesco should have taken your details and reserved the next available hamster for you.Went to the paper shop - it had blown away.0 -
