Go go pets hamsters & accessories stock updates & discussion Part 2

How about me tonight, might give someone a laugh.. managed to snag the two hammies form tesco at the start of the week, went to collect them from store tonight, spent 15mins waiting to be seen by the one girl behind the desk. Gave me my box of hamsters and then the missus phones me to get a bit of shopping, after spending 30mins walking around a massive tescos trying to get the odd stuff. Get to the car and I dont know why but i had an urge to check my hammies were ok, theres only chunk in the box!!! Queued for another 15mins only to be told by the manager that she opened the box in front of me and there was definatley two in there... for her to then realised that she didnt actualy serve me! noddy. Then she said sorry we have had so many people in today picking them up i always open the box in front of the customers, no i felt like i was under the microsope and i had took one out and then come back in, long story short as i'm ranting now... they refunded one so i've only got one hamster.
Really fed up - three girls one hamster is not a good mix.

What are you going to do on xmas eve, when this thread has almost died, and there's no need to F5 anymore cos there's no point in hunting cos it wouldnt arrive in time.

Personnaly by that time i would have forgotten what the real world looks like, will i even be able to communicate with real people??? :rolleyes:

Pipsqeak, you beat me to it. I got a house from Smyths in Walsall. The assistant jokingly asked me if I wanted the security guard to escort me to my car.

I had a text from a friend that Walsall Argos had 6. Got there and all gone. Apparently they are not expecting anymore stock before Christmas. I do not know how true it is. Good job I was going to Smyths anyway.

I managed to get my first hamster today. I called Argos and they had two in stock. I was told that they could not reserve one but they would put it on 'view' and pop it under the counter. You would think that I had a secret document or hunk of precious material the way I had the hamster under my coat.

It seems odd that TRU have send fridays order by RM, when they normally send via courier. Otherwise they would have had to email buyers to say there OOS as they wouldnt have been able to magic up a bogus courier tracking number.

Which is rubbish if thats the case, maybe they though tit would look better on them to blame RM instead of admitting to the error and facing the backlash themselves.

Yes, but why would they send an e mail confirmation of the order, then another e mail saying it had been despatched, then another e mail saying the order was complete if they hadn't processed it and sent it out. May be its a lorry load from Friday's orders that just hasn't been processed by royal mail yet.

I ordered thru tru friday - order confirmation says 9:44am and mine arrived yesterday am. ... with a neighbour.... with no card to say it was with a neighbour... who actually lives FOUR doors away! Good job neighbour was honest and gave me the stuff!

TRU order confirmation sent at 9.36, so must of ordered a few mins before. Delivered on Monday by DHL.
