well there is only 18 months between my two sons so i doubt mine has any damage, but i suppose it also depends where you store your seat, if left in a damp place then its bound to become weak. its all about the MONEY, and i wouldnt put my kids in a dodgy car seat if i thought for one second it was a tiny bit unsafe

its not scaremongering, you only have to look at plastic toys left out in the garden, that start to snap, after a few years of use - a car seat is made from the same substance

The scare over the hamster poisoning is just one huge sales ploy!



I wonder how many people wouldn't have bought BEFORE the scaremongering?

A lot of peeps were'nt even aware of them before the scare.

I expect the reports will have actually had an adverse effect in the long term.

Specially when they get the official 'All Clear'.


Suddenly they become safe and EVERYONE can go and buy them so they all rush and the shops are deluged with enquiries for these toys which mysteriously appear just in time for Xmas.

Could this have been some very clever marketing?
