I've been trying to get some hamsters for my daughter, but been unwilling to pay the rip-off prices some people/places are charging. Its the principle of it.

Pleased to see that the hamsters themselves are now only fetching c£12-£14+postage. Perhaps now prices are down it will stop the speculators.

Will you still refuse when it comes to a few days before xmas and you still haven't got one? I know my reputation isn't a good one and I'm only tring to help but the nearer you get to xmas and the last of the final stock has gone, people will bid anything to get their hands on one rather than leave kids upset on xmas day.
  • Just got back from tru in Chester and they've got nowt! Sold it all yesterday , bloomin typical! I'm only really after beds and carriers , I thought they would have held some back from yesterday to put out today like a lot of the othe tru seem to have done. So it's cost me about forty quid in petrol and lunch and nowt to show for it! Lol

The sudden appearance of beds and carriers at TRU makes me wonder if the expected stock from Character on 18th has arrived early or whether Toys R Us have been holding them back - perhaps Liz could clarify on Character situation?

I see your point, but how many people are going to pay MORE than the silly prices places are charging now:confused: 30-odd quid for a car? it's just half a plastic car that gets pushed by the hamster.

I may be wrong but I honestly think that people who haven't already started hunting will choose something else for their children rather than spend a massive amount on some cheap plastic that will just get trodden on?

Don't get me wrong, I think these are great and I love the hammies, but the other stuff is barely worth RRP
