This is Tesco Direct's policy, might well be similar in store:
Tesco Direct Refund Policy - Our Promise
If any of our products fall below the high standards you expect please return them within 28 days and we will happily refund or exchange the item. Please have your invoice with you to do this.
Worth a try, it has definitely fallen below the standard you expected so seems to fall within this policy
Oooh thanks! Sounds promising.0 -
As I said in my earlier post I returned the radio alarm to Asda which was not faulty just a bit naff (and I had used it) and they were completely unconcerned. I think they all have that "if you're not completely satisfied" thing0

Just an update, I took the hairdryer back and explained it wasn't faulty, but unsuitable for me. Tesco refunded my money with no question :j0

Well done; the staff were probably very impressed with your honesty.0

I returned a lawnmower once that was woefully underpowered.
The salesman at BnQ said "well its not really designed for long or wet grass"
I pointed out that I live in England so the grass is nearly always wet, and if my grass wasnt long I wouldnt need a mower!:rotfl:
He let me buy a bigger one.“Careful. We don't want to learn from this.”0
