Can someone explain to me what they mean when they say they will access my claim
I've just phoned them to say my headunit part of the phone no longer works. She told me to send back this forum back signed and dated and to me it sounded like it my cost me a small amount for a new phone.
Surely they should just send me a new phone? I've been paying for insurance for a good year or so for what?

Most insurance has a excess, not sure what O2 is though. . .0

They have to assess your claim to see whether it is covered by the policy, whether the fault can be repaired, or whether it is cheaper to send you a replacement. It's the same as any insurance claim.0

I think the OP has misheard or misunderstood that they're going to 'excess' the claim. As Jon 01 says, there will most likely be an excess to pay.0
