Renew Orange contract without handset??

My Orange contract is up for renewal in January.
I got given a brand new handset as a present just recently so i don't need a new handest.
I was wondering if anyone knows if you can renew your contract without getting a new handset in order to get a better deal i.e. reducing line rental, increasing minutes, etc...

Any info would be much appreciated..
Thanks!

You can go on sim only, where instead of a handset you can go on a rolling 30 day contract with them. If you do this though, you won't be able to upgrade to a standard contract for three months.

Or you could go on a 12/18 month sim only deal where you'll get more minutes and texts for your money, just no handset.
