yes, but make sure you credit the most expensive item from this campaign, not the new one you buy.0 -
I havent read this whole thread so dont know if this has been mentioned but I would like to point something out to all those Avon ladies out there who door knock.
I am a customer and I love Avon but the Avon lady drives me mad with her method.
She drops off a book and I order, she takes the book with the order....all is fine.
When my order arrives at her house (along with all the new books), for some reason she brings the new book to my house for me to look at with a note on it saying "Your order amount is £xx and I will deliver on X day. Please have new book ready to give back" (words to that effect).
Now, I know what my order cost and knew when the delivery was as she told me before, so why is she bothering to remind me while giving me a new book? Im not going to order anything else until I have my last order, am I? I might not like the items or might have a return.
Why does she make me wait a week for my order too?
I really do not understand why she doesnt bring me my order AND the new book at the same time.
I am a regular customer and always order a decent amount and she never delivers the new book to my face either, always pushed through the door.
Some people just dont like to rock the boat but it really is a very annoying the way she does her deliveries.
If anyone else does this, could you tell me the reasoning behind it please so I understand it better.0 -

Thanks, Marsden Cuckoo, I am a new Rep, have done 2 camps so far and tbh was thinking of not bothering again as I have managed to get a grand total of THREE customers, with a couple of promises. Have been surprised by so little gain for so much leg work, but if you're saying you only pick customers up gradually, I might try for a few more camps.
The other thing that really surprised me is how hard it is to get brochures back!
Having to go back several times, people not answering the door (when you can see them!) and people who have no idea where it is , in the bin I suspect.
Anyway, I do have a question or two if anyone is feeling kindly. I have some items to return so should I knock this off the amount I pay and if I do will they still release my next pitiful order?
And as it's only small items can I just parcel them up instead of using the big box they came in?
Many thanks in advance.
Id like to mention that people dont always want to answer their door or cant and not everyone is the same, even though we might think someone is strange for not answering their door.
If you came to my door, you might find that I wont answer it but that is because I am disabled and my friend doesnt answer the door if she is alone because she is deaf and cant hear when someone is knocking.
There is also other reasons such as people being in the middle of something very important, they may be arguing, sorting out something urgently or dealing with bad news.0 -

she leaves a reminder because believe it not not all customers are as good at remembering as you are lol. As a rep myself one of the worst things is when you lug a load of orders around and hardly anyone has the money for you or have forgotten. especially in this cold. Its for the customers benefit so that they can keep the little note and stick it on the fridge or something.
As for adding the book at the same time. Ive never done it as for a start i would confuse myself lol and secondly i agree that i wouldnt want to order a second time until i had the first delivery. also i dont know if my customers would think i was being a tad pushy. However it is a selling technique which maximises earnings and cuts time for the rep.
I personally include the newest book with my customers order but alot of people do what your rep does. Its not that shes making you wait a week for your order its that she doesnt GET your order till a week after which in theory gives you a week to do some avon shopping from home.camp 12=£443 13=£425 14=£277 15=£474 16=£492 17=£438 18=£437 1=£319 2=£153:o 3=£220 :jSALES LEADER:j4=£202 5=£191 6=£167 7=£193 8=£216 9=£211

Right ladies Im planning to do a party mid feb so the delivery comes in time for mothers day. I have searched the thread and found posts from flissys and also printed off the tips from the website...but do YOU personally have any pearls of wisdom to pass on about how to have a successful party?
There is a big difference between the theory and practical of it all lol so for anyone who has actually had an avon party what would you suggest? what did you do? offers? games? makeover? ...... what went wrong?? lolcamp 12=£443 13=£425 14=£277 15=£474 16=£492 17=£438 18=£437 1=£319 2=£153:o 3=£220 :jSALES LEADER:j4=£202 5=£191 6=£167 7=£193 8=£216 9=£211

With the books, there is no valid reason for her to do this except its the way she wants to. I would not do it that way. I do drop reminder notes once I recieve the order to save me carrying the orders around and finding no-one in. If I have a mobile number I just text and ask them when they want me to deliver.Life is not the way it’s supposed to be. It’s the way it is. The way you cope with it is what makes the difference.0 -
I drop an order and collect book that is to be ordered from leaving the next book. Personally i don't want to be out more than i have to.Dropping a book off then coming back to deliver order for me is a waste of time effort and in my case petrol. I am out delivering 4 nights and 3 mornings so I couldn't poss do it this way or I would be out every week, However we all have our own personal way of doing things and it works for her.I have never met a calorie yet I didn't like!!0

I always run round the doors the night before my delivery arrives with a note saying you order was xx amount and I'm delivering tomorrow PM, but here's my mobile number incase you want it on a different day.
This is to avoid people saying they dont have the money on them or they might not be in and can let me know when is better for them.0 -
This campaign has been the worst to date for me, making me VERY de-motivated. If it wasn't for the decrease in MOV I wouldn't have made a penny!
I'm going out on what I now know is my PROPER territory next week though so fingers crossed I get some orders for C3.0
