Avon Hints and Tips (Part 3)

I ordered a 2010 filofax in pink through the 30 deals in 30 days - after opening it and writing in it, I realised that the insert is for 2009. I called up the helpline last night and was told by someone called Gauri that I could request a replacement on line for it, which will hopefully be 2010 and then because I have written in the 2009 not send it back (and still only be charged for the initial one I got). I dont know really how true this is, she didnt really seem to know much herself!?

An other thing is, I qualified in my first 2 campaigns for the free sample selections - half the samples were missing! The helpline woman told me that I just needed to go on line and request replacements under code 54, but I cant because they are not there on the list as I didnt pay for them

Lastly there was a note on the invoice which said to qualify for 25% discount/commission on campaigns 3,4,5 I only have to get £52 sales - is that right or is that just the minimum order value and there is a different higher order value? Does this mean if I got £52 in C3+4 that I would qualify for my incentive - you know the first 6 campaign incentives?

...can you request credits for brochures and return them? I bought 3 packs of brochures last C3 and I got some free ones too for hitting so much in sales - so I have about 60 brochures and Im only selling to f+f because streets are too time consuming and I work full time. I want to send them back! x

Hi Katy

No, unfortunately, you are unable to return brochures. That is a big no no. Can understand it though, some of us could use them and return them in good condition, so you wouldn't know they had been used.

Contact your SL or ASM and see if they want to buy them off you. That way you are not losing out.

The MOV has been dropped for campaigns - I need to go and check which ones, and will be £52, but they haven't told us how much the HOV is going to be.

Yes if you hit MOV you will get your incentives.

Knew diddly squat about Avon when I first started so didn't consider the SL route; am a little more au fait now so can see that's the way to go to maximise earnings but fail to understand the logic behind encouraging newbies to recruit other newbies when chances are it could be like the blind leading the blind..... :rolleyes:

sorry I didn't make it clear about becoming a SL, and !!!!!! Here has explained it better than me.

I don't agree with someone who has never done Avon coming in as SL. If they have never done it, how can they offer advice, etc.

When signing up reps I mention it, but say we will talk about it at a later date, ie 6 months down the line to see if they are interested.

I say this to everyone, rather than phone the 0845 number, email Avon through the website, contact us, much easier. The Corby office deal with emails and are much better informed on the products, etc and what can and cannot happen.

I have ALWAYS found the email route really helpful and they are so quick to reply. I have even had one call me especially to discuss a query. Which I thought was lovely, great customer service.

Just realised I have HT 4, and dug it out.

There is a bonus bag for £30 which has this - 30ml, it also has anew wrinkle zone line smoothing duo in medium, anew ultimate night gold emulsion 50ml, solutions winter enjoy the day cream spf15 50ml, anew clinical advanced dermbrasion system, nails experts strong results 12ml, indoor/outdoor skipping rope, anew reversalist illuminating eye system.

this product is not in any of the bonus bags, by this I mean the Anew bonus bags in HT. It is only in the bonus bag above. Only 30ml.

I don't have C4, so cannot help you there. Sorry.
