I submitted a claim under the extenuating circumstances situation claiming financial hardship as I am at university supporting myself. I had lot financial support form my parents during a divorce / selling house etc, so found myself having difficulty.
I submitted this claim on the 6th December 2008 and have received no reply. Obviously this was nearly a year to the day ago now, and now the extenuating circumstances situation is unavailable to pursue. However Halifax did not act on it when they HAD to, so am I still able to try to enforce some payment here? As it could be claimed that they intentionally delayed repayment.
Thanks for any help.0 -

You couldn't enforce a payment in December 2008 since the FSA Waiver on Hardship did not require any financial institution to payout even if someone was in financial hardship.0 -

Hi
Can somebody help i put in a claim under Financial Hardhsip back in October 09 they said this should be completed by the 6th December 09 but obviously since then the court case as been heard so i contacted the Nationwide and spoke to the team responsible for claiming back bank charges the lady said that my case had been completed & that there was a letter out on the way to me i then asked her if the court case would have any bearing on my case and she said becasue my case had been completed and a decision already made this would,nt affect my claim but that is not the case a couple of days later i complained that we was experiencing difficulties but they just told me that my case along with other had been put on hold the other question that i wanted to ask is i havent banked with the Nationwide for around 4 years would this cancel out my claim i know you can claim back as far as six years but i dont know if the account needed to still be open which mine is,nt please advise.
