Hi everyone
I have drawn my SIL in secret santa this year. Don't know her particularly well as she lives in USA, so looking for suggestions on what to buy a 27 year old for Christmas!! Have got budget of $50/£20. Would prefer to buy from USA stores so that I don't have to pay 2x for delivery.
Was thinking maybe perfume?
HELP!!!
thanks

Perfume is always good and I'd be happy if my sister in law got me that, or what about a DVD from Amazon? I'm in the similar position - but have got 2 sisters, BIL and 4 kids and they have to be posted to NZ and OZ by Friday - panic!! Good luck!0

It is so difficult isn't it when you don't really know what they like/dislike or what they have at home. I have till the 10th December if posting from here so have a bit longer than you!!0

I wouldn't get her perfume unless you know what she likes, I have given presents of perfume away in the past because I didn't like it.
What about some fancy make up, maybe a decent mascara? Or I like the DVD idea, maybe something chick-flicky?0 -
No idea of what to buy (could you ask your brother for an idea?)
But amazon US is a great site to buy from, gift wrap too. HTH a bit!
too many comps..not enough time!0 -
I don't have any good suggestion, but I would suggest you have a look at amazon.com and get something from there?
What about some candle holders? Or have a look at one of 'more expensive' brands and see if you can find a bargain. For example, I have got Alessi 'Turn me on' candlestick for about £17, and today they are £39!!!
If you buy perfume, remember, that you cannot send it by post, as it is classed as dangerous goods (I did this mistake, I have 2 gift sets with perfume for my family that I was going to send, and now they will have to go to my OH!).Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Oh, I didn't know that about perfume either. Thanks!
Have looked at Amazon/urban outfitters/Macy's etc but trying to buy a cool present that most people would like is proving to be quite difficult!
I think we bought her Philosophy stuff last year, but no idea if she liked it or not. She is my husbands sister - he is worse than useless and wouldn't have a clue what to get her :-)
Any suggestions of cool US based shops? - can't seem to access US website for Abercrombie & Fitch. Anything similar that is a good place to shop? Thanks!0 -

Oh, I know what you mean. I seem to have to buy gifts for OH's family, but I don't really know them!!!! I see them once or twice a year! We got for his mum this year one of those wooden collapsible bowls/trays, hope she likes it... Still don't know what to get for OH's dad, and we need to post it as well!
Just found the website we used to buy some gifts last year:

It is a UK website, but they have really nice, original and contemporary stuff, you might get an idea of what to get and then find it in US!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
These people are lovely and the wallets are just under your budget. I ordered a bag and purse from them a few months ago and they're lovely - people compliment me on them all the time! They're practical but pretty.

What about having a look on etsy.com they sell handmade crafts, some of the stuff is amusing, or even shockingly bad, but they do have lot's of lovely handmade bags/ hats scarves etc etc. They are US based too, though they ship worldwide.0
