Thanks i just found it:o. I agree with DI it has to be the childminding....no way they could really cut back on your other allowances. Did you send a breakdown of your benefits to your OR?

As peachy said wait until you get the offical request/amount,then if no breakdown...request one.....then look into contesting it ect. Not much point specualating until you get the facts....you will drive yourself into an early grave girl.XX

Hi, just a thought, can you do the SOA but with the changes to the tax credits and and the changes to the childminding that will be happening in january. Yoy mentioned that these will change, and see how that stacks up.

also remove the Sky, and reduce the gas, elec and water by £20 each, thats all i can think of

I don't get it. Help me out here guys. Shouldn't it be what samy SOA is as of now. If she is spending the money on the childcare then that money surely is spent on childcare. it's what it's costing samy so there should be no argument. We all know childcare is so expensive - that's why I've gone under.

its a joke tp put it polite!!
just spoke to her again with ref numbers she requested
wants to know now why i had a holiday in september!!
a lot of my friends gave me cash s that the holiday can be paid from my card (shes not impressed)!!!
  • HI,

I know with childminding it's really expensive. See what the breakdown is then ask her if she want's a bill for the childminding as it stands now. I can't see how they can dispute it astax credits covers part of it anyway...

I gave up work as I couldn't afford it. I was earning 40K a year bringing home 1800K 4 weekly, but fees would have been approx 1600K pm for two in fulltime, what with £200 travel I decided to give up & look more local. Then all my other problems started so I couldn't work (but's that's another story).

Also if you can prove £80 for gas & electric then again show them the bills. You cant go wothout. Mine is approx that but I'm on a meter - not by choice as there was already one in the property.

As others have said wait until you have heard back from them then take one step at a time. We're all here to help.

    Good luck.x

Hi no point arguing over the phone just ask them to send out a breakdown in writing when they send the IPA so you can look at it in the light of day.

Hi miche althouh the SOA should reflect the current siuation it is common for them to add in changes that are known about because it takes at least a month to set up any way samyc wouldnt start paying until after the changes have happened

Ah, I see. Thank you. I hope this is sorted as it hardly seems fair to have to give £400-500 a month when she's earning £900, bizarre. I wonder if OR examiner has taken into account the drop is tax credits when the childcare drops in January - should just even out making you basically break even as SOA above. I just can't for the life of me work out what the thinking is behind it

That why i say get a written breakdown, there may be something obviously wrong that nobody is noticing such as you say micheh droping the childcare but forgeting to drop the tax credits
