I thought decking came from building merchants?

We got ours from a builders merchant and they also delivered it free whereas the diy stores usually charge0

My local Travis Perkins building merchant supplied all my decking and support timbers, delivered it and at a much cheaper price than the likes Wicks etc.0

Thanks, I went into a timber merchants today and soft wood was £2.20 per metre and hardwood £3.20 per metre (plus v.a.t.) delivered free.
At least I have a figure to work on.0 -
There is no point in ringing round getting prices unless you find out the dimensions including thickness.
B&Q sell stuff fo 20% less than our local decking specialist, but most people dont check and find out its only half the thickness and total rubbish.0 -
Oh, and by the way, you need a frame to put your decking on just in case you didnt realise.0
