We've got a pound shop, will have to have a look in there - when the snow's gone! The coffee jar will do for now, plenty of newspaper and sellotape over the top with a slit cut in.

Hope you're feeling better soon Hun, make sure you get plenty of rest, and make your DH run around after you, getting you drinks, tablets etc. Seriously though, hope you get well soon xx

Thanks sparky and EVERYONE for all your well wishes, I was really touched (no, not in the mad way, though sometimes...!) at your thoughtfulness, much appreciated all! I'm getting better but have a course of antibiotics to get through. I hope your DW is getting better too sparky. The pair of you have a great time at the IOM sparky!

Helen and elizabunny, thank you for your kindness, sparky & I do our best at things, it's good to know it works.

Well done Reb, you brought up a point that I've been trying to get over to everyone for some time this year and last (08), and that's to: TAKE NOTE everyone "ask your local P Offices, shops and caf!s to see if they want your change - as they have to pay to get it from the banks"!!! Reb, see you can be handy at times - good too!!

Well done ladsmadd, I've added your total to the overall total of SPC 2. Well done you also AuntyH, and your target's updated.

Great going on your £345 bingo win Greenbynature!!!:T You too pammy with your £200 M&S gift card and £20.50 draw win!!!:T

Don't know about you Sam, but I'd call you basket find....bloo*y lucky!!! ;)Great news about RATM!!:j

LC, you have a fantastic time in St Petersburg at New Year!!

Good to see you Pips Mum, never mind, look to the future now. Your little lad must be almost a year now..or is it two?

Hi Paul. If it's anything like my DH, he got fined £60, but to avoid the points he opted to go on one of the 'lessons' on road limit safety. Well worth considering as he learned a lot and they were really great folk doing it.

Good to see you again SarahNeedle better luck this time round!

Keep on saving ALL...it's amazing how quickly next Dec 1st will be here! I know "shut up"! :p Due to another couple of late declarers on SPC 2 we've a NEW Grand Total, please check my sig as it's there for all to see. How CLOSE we came to having saved £27.000!!!! Next time - yes?! :j

Hello! Can I join please? Not done it before so got to find myself a sealed pot. I have a little tub with some money in which I usually keep topped up for DS's street dancing every week, but would love the challenge of saving a bit every week without touching it!

Last year my mum started putting £1 a week into a money box each for my DS and DD, and this Christmas they're getting £50 each from her!

I'd like to set a target of £100, but will see how I go. Any tips on where to find a sealed pot? We don't have a poundland near here, although I may have a lidless coffee jar in the recycling box outside! I'm sure I could improvise a lid.

    Morning pinkpig,
What a great idea your mum had, I might adopt this method for my 2 nieces and SiL for next Christmas, they all get money from DW and I so this would be a great way to save :T

Another £5 worth of all sorts of coins added to the tins and piggy over the weekend. I am amazed how much we are putting away at the minute and I am using my debit card to shop not cash so it tends to be Christmas night out leftovers and the winnings from DH odd bet.
