Hello everyone, I hope your day was a good'n.
Hiya LC, I'm fine ta, hope you are too. Good for you in popping the cash back in! :T
Hi scuba, I really do hope it's not long before you start work. I hate being indoors for too long unless I'm doing something constructive. Still, the occasional mystery shop is at least something to look ahead to. Why not check out the best places for walking etc meanwhile, at least it'd get you focusing on other sights and sounds.
Well done PennyCounter!!!You too GRB!
It's all mounting up.
A whole total of £5 left over after shopping and.....it's all in the pot! :j
Hoping for another lovely day today.

Hi Sue, I've been trying to work out where the local country parks are and where there is car parking but it's quite well hidden round here, found two areas by accident the other day, a National Trust woodland and a local council run woodland area, but one of my lovely friends has put an OS map of the area in the post for me today so once that arrives I can be a bit more adventurous. On the upside I had a call this morning I can start work tonight, not got my full clearances through yet but they've got enough that I can be escorted on site to my work place until the full clearance comes through.
And found 15p road kill in tesco on the floor near the coin counter, I still don't understand why people use those but if they're willing to not only spend money to change the coins but leave some for me to collect in passing too then I'll take it with pleasure. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Im abit late to the challenge but i'd still like to save some money for christmas. Years been abit rubbish so far with OH losing his job last november.
I normally have something saved for christmas by now but i've been focusing on prioritys like keeping my house and luxurys like food so i haven't saved a penny yet
Things have settled down a bit so I've found myself a tin in the bedroom, one of those moneyboxes you need to open with a can opener, It appearers to have money in it alreadythough i have no idea what i intended to use it for or how much is in it so hopefully it will be a nice suprise.
Bunged another £4 in it today.. i have £50 a week food budget so i will also be adding any leftovers from that each week if i can cut back i also have some leftover Dollars from america a few years ago which i will be exchanging as soon as i get time.
Hoping to save at least £300 by christmas.0 -
A warm welcome to yummymummy85 and EllieA. Great to have you here with us.
Have great fun saving. You'll find your numbers at the bottom of the list on post 2 of page 1. Please read through posts 1 & 2 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge. Please pop your number on your sig, it helps so very much
It's NEVER too late yummymummy85, all the very best with your target.
You've had a rotten year EllieA, lets hope things will now look up now and you can get back to life as it used to be, I sincerely hope so.
You're right Ruby, every little does indeed help...that's how we really do get to grips with our debts and finances. You're getting there, bit by bit! :T
Hi there LC2 and about time too! It really is great to see you and I've never doubted that you're still saving hard. Come and see us more often - yes?!
Fantastic news about you starting work tonight scuba!I really hope it's going/gone well for you. Good news about the OS help too, though the woodland walks would really appeal to me, I love em. Libraries also might know other places to meet folk that aren't on a map, worth a shot. Well done with the cash pick-up!!
Another £2.81 in my pot today, though I had to remind DH that he owed it to me! :kisses2:
Make the best of another lovely day tomorrow ALL. :j

I'm more of an open spaces girl myself, was brought up on the West Pennine Moors, and am generally happier meadering around hillsides than woodlands - partly due to my terrible sense of direction! I've started the application to join the local library but I need to find two proofs of address, so am waiting for my first phone bill, bank statements and possibly pay slips to take down with me figure if I take as much as I can it'll be best as I obv don't have any of the household utilities in my name.
Don't think I'll be gaining much in the way of change at work though, it seem's tipping isn't the done thing there which is a shame as the bottle could do with it, but at least I'm actually working, now to try to get some temp/day work too. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.
