Make that £9 just checked coat pocket and found another £2:jHere dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
And we were young.

Only 40p in the tin and 10p in the coppers bottle today. Tin is feeling quite heavy though so I'm still happy with that.Sealed Pot Challenge 2013 Member No 689 - £120/£300

Shiney silver clunks for me today, i can see the change in the top of my little pig so am thinking that i might have to bust it open and bank it - either into my Isa or my saver
Sparky/Stunty/Sueu - dont know if you guys can remember the financial mess i was in with the ex h and how i relied on this sealed pot to bail us (and then my single self) out numerous times in 2008-09
Now when im thinking of opening my pot its because its full and becuase it should be earning me lots of lovely interest lol - its not just down to me though, you guys are an inspiration - without you the thread and the odd pm from you guys i would be in a totally different place
!!!!!!!! thank you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi there Puzzled!! Good to see you and it's wonderful to hear your news! Congratulations on all you've achieved since way back then!!! :T You've done wonders with your life and deserve to feel proud, very well done indeed!:jelizabunny wrote:DH is out walking the dog as I write so hopefully he may stumble across something on his travels.
Fat chance of that eliza - unless you live in Liverpool and he can work sparky's or stunty's patches over!!!

Well done everyone, you're all doing so well! Just keep it up and keep adding to your funds. We mightn't get to £56million like the couple nr Cirencester, but we can sure as hell try! :j

I alas am not doing so well, got a tad carried away last week and stuck a tenner in,week before MOT-budgeted for £200,seems gonna be a tad more than that-so confess to having to sneak a bit out of the bottom of the can-what a !!!!!! that was to open!!
£16 down, but kids safety more important as it involved brakes-get paid next Thursday so will be sticking it straight back in.-Quite why I needed a new number plate is anyones guess or would have just needed to borrow £6!!0 -
Not to worry Nevsy. It can't, and isn't always good for any of us, and right now you're having a tough time. Still, the cash is there to help us at times when we're struggling so don't feel bad about it. As you rightly say, the kiddies safety is way more important!!
Just one small favour if you don't mind, could you kindly put your number on your sig, it helps so very much? If you're unsure how to: Go to the top of the page, click the "User CP", next look for the option to "edit signature", click that and add it to your signature.
Thanks a lot Nevsy, and good luck!

I've put your total in as £159.93 this includes the vouchers, you're our first total on this years sealed pot challenge, lucky you had it in your pot though hun
Thanks. I'm starting again with a whole new pot and have written myself an IOU note for the cash total; the gift vouchers are being squirrelled away, saving them to put towards a new phone.:D So this isn't the last you'll be hearing from me in 2010.:A0 -
