Put nine pounds in 1s and 2s in on wednesday and four pounds today. How come I keep getting left with all these coins? I must be breaking into too many notes!!:rotfl::eek:

I found an old tin a couple of days ago that i must have started using for a sealed pot type challenge earlier (must be years ago, cos I had completely forgotten it ). Anyway, it had £30.60 in it :D:eek:, so I have added it to the current tin, together with the 90p from today's foray into town, thus making the total £94.47 :j.

The tin is getting too heavy to hold already, so when I get to £100, then I will start putting the contents into the bank, but not in my regular account - I'll only spend it :o. I have another account that I dont use much apart from when I need to buy presents for family, so it seems the ideal place to put it.

Thinking of banks, does anyone else have the problem that they will only take three bags of coins at a time, unless you are under 10 years old? It's going to take a long time to get £100, mostly in 1p and 2p coins into the account

  • BenW/Ruth - Does your bank have more than one branch in your town/city? Because then you could just keep going round the different banks? It would still take a while but you'd get more cashed in at once? I hope I've made some sense lol
