Thouht i'd update as not been on for ages. Unfortunately I split with my fiancee over Xmas so had nowhere to live! Just rented my place out in December for a year. Ended up at my mum's at 34, lol, but i've just managed to get the internet set up on wireless for my laptop

Had another "sorry this is taking longer than expected, you can ring me if you are after an update" letter. Hopefully I will get a result too

On a seperate issue I asked for £90 from HSBC for credit card charges from 04/05. Got a letter 2 weeks later offering me £167. Yes please! I need all the money I can get right now as I'm now travelling loads with my job based in the Midlands and me having to live in the North East.

Rang up today to be told they are running at 8 weeks (no surprise) so I'm expected to hear something around Feb 1st. The very nice girl I spoke to on the phone said she couldn't promise then, but would say that is what they were aiming for and told me after that time I could contact the FOS. Standard stuff! Roll on the next 3 weeks then

Well confirmation letter arrived today (via my ex fiancee's house, despite me changing my address!!) Total breakdown of what I had paid on the 2 loans (both settled early) + 8% interest on both and added together to make £1652.53. HSBC deny any liability and will not go into individual issues with regard to the claim, which is a bit of a cop out as I already had cover with them. However I am happy and will be sending the acceptance back tonight. I will update once money is in my account, but goodbye overdraft at HSBC! I couldn't be happier :) Once again thanks to all on here who helped
