Will we be able to get our deposit back?

I'm unsure.... i'd like the rest of the money back because it took over a month of me chasing them to get this and from what i've read that waivers their right to take anything out the deposit.
There was an inventory taken but it was wrong, we had to add our own notes.
I did clean the oven, twice before we moved in fact. I don't recall it being clean when we moved in, the whole house was a state.Annual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500

how much time and energy do you want to devote to get £200 ?0

How much effort would it be on our part? Would it be as simple as placing a dispute with TDS filling in the form and sending across all our evidence and letting them decide? I'd do that...
Would it have any effect on us when we need to rent again in a years time?Annual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500

 Go Bramble and go Mr. Bramble!
Should be fairly simple as you say simply lodge a dispute, you know they don't have a proper inventory nor any evidence you caused the alleged damages/ dirt. I don't see what you have to lose by carrying on, if it gets time consuming or stressful you can always quit somewhere down the line. You will have a grand safe in the bank which should make you feel better if you feel the need to back out for any reason?
IMHO the landlord/ agent have taken the mick by not responding for so long, and charging for things you know are not legit. Disputing could affect your future reference but it might anyway, they could write that they had to withhold money from your deposit!Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -

Thank you! I had a revelation today and realised i had £10 to last me and OH and dog till end of the month and wrote a reallly mean letter to the agents demanding my money back... was just about to hand deliver it when OH phoned in the nick of time to tell me about the cheque.
So when we go to rent again, firstly we will be paying 6 months rent up front, but will they ask for references from the other agent?
If it will ruin my chances of getting anther house i can lose £200 (Even if it was my inheritance money)Annual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500

Nobody can tell the future, ifs buts and maybes are not something I'd be worrying about but I am not you. Getting your £200 back could be as simple as lodging the dispute, they may back down immediately. It's between you and Mr. Bramble, honey.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0
