short term broadband contract

My daughter has taken a 6 month lease on a flat, and of course, wants broadband access. She will use her mobile not a landline, altho' she assumes there is one - there is a phone socket. Her usage will include watching some TV online, and downloading music.
Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks.

But the line may or may not require reconnection. The existence of a BT socket does not mean it is connected. BT may charge £122 for this. She can get free connection, but this will require her to contract to 18m line rental.
Once that obstacle is overcome, look at Be broadband, as they do 3m contracts aimed at the student market. Check what LLU options are available on https://www.samknows.com.
Mobile broadband is unlikley to suit her if she wants to stream TV online.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
