Turn the air recirculation button to off.

  • Stop the shenanigans in the car.

Or check for leaks, damp seats, carpets in the footwells etc. As others have mentioned air recycle button is a classic.
  • Hot air on your windscreen will dry it up pretty quickly.
  • Clean your windows.

Moisture droplets need something to cling to, don't let them.

Windowlene/Vinegar polished off with old newspaper. Be careful near the mirror, it can sometimes be a weak spot depending on how its bonded to the glass.

you can also buy some stuff from halfords that you spray on the inside of the windows to stop them misting up, costs around a £4 or so

though if this is a problem which has suddenly occured and is unusual for your car then it may be a bigger problem that needs to be looked into

A sliced potato will do the same for a lot less money, however that is not removing the cause.

If the car has aircon then check that it works. If it doesn't it could be a holed condenser which will rapidly introduce moisture into the HVAC system causing the fogging.

Clean the windows so that they are squeaky clean. Moisture will easily form on dirty/smokers windows.

Next check to see that the air selector is set to Fresh Air and not Recirculate. It's amazing how many people set the air to recirculate because they don't want to breathe in outside air.

    Then check for wet carpets/leaks.

The anti-mist stuff works up to a point, but then it can saturate with moisture and be harder to heat off than normal condensation. Also don't put any anti-mist near your sat nav or rear window mirror - leave a dirty area of 15 cms free from anti-mist solution. This is because the anti-mist solution can leach/bleed onto the suckers/adhesive and cause the sat nav mount/mirror to fall off.
