Check the carpets. Are they damp? =water leak.
  • the amount of people i see driving along the motorways in the morning wiping their windows is amazing, just opening the window 1cm for 5 mins will help clear it all away, i really do wonder if people ever paid attention at school!

Indeed, I always have my drivers window open an inch or so in cold weather, it amazes me as well.

Although you do need to find the damp source, if you wipe the windows with neat shampoo on a duster, (and let it dry), this will stop them clouding up.

ha you see the useless dollops looking confused as to what's going on, where has this moisture come from? Why am i being victimised, its not my fault if I crashed because its the condensations fault on my side windows

one of my neighbours comes out on frosty mornings, starts the car up and puts the wipers on full pelt, i wonder what she thinks when she sees me de ice the car in less than 30 seconds using water

Has your wife tried to switching on the fan to max. and setting to the Demist position? If the car has a pollen filter and it as become clogged/blocked, this can reduce the de-misting capability.

  • does the car ever get aired? If people are treading in water on their feet it needs to get out, just leaving the window open a touch when possible works wonders
  • If all the above does not work then a worse case scenario might be the heater matrix or attached pipes may be leaking, most likely on an older car, normally accompanied with a chemical smell inside the car.

Aye but at this time of the year it is a classic hint for Traffic Police to pull you- most people on a heavy night will pull down the window a bit to deal with hangover :rotfl:
