When will my puppy go through the night?

Pup is now nearly 11 weeks old. She had her second injection yesterday so can go out in a week. The problem I have is she sleeps in a cage at night. I have made sure she only has sleep area not toilet area, the rest of the cage is blocked off. I had been getting up to her in the night after about 4 hours. She would go out and have a wee, kept it all low key and she then settled back down until i got up a 6.30. When I asked the vet about her sleeping right through and not needing a wee he told me that I shouldn't be getting upto her otherwise she will become too dependent on me.
Last night I didn't get up. No sounds from pup. Horrendous mess in her cage numbers 1 and 2 and then jumped in sat in....... etc. I was told she wouldn't mess her sleep are but she does which is why I kept getting up to her.
Where am I going wrong. She normal does a number 1 and 2 before settling down for the night.
Any advice please.

Your vet was wrong - as you have discovered.
In my personal experience of young pups over the years the best one was 3 nights of disturbed sleep and the worst was 3 months.A dog with a behaviour problem needs help not punishment.0 -

My second pup is 10 months and only really cracked the dry all night thing last month.
First pup was clean and dry all night (9pm to 6am) from 8 weeks old!!
I don't understand

Don't set the alarm!! Have puppy in her crate beside your bed and let her wake you when she needs to go. Then one morning you'll wake up and realise she went all night without needing the loo.

I have never got up in the night for our dogs. Some mess was inevitable as a puppy, but they seem to grow out of it.1

I must have been really lucky. I did as you have been doing, up twice a night to let the pup wee, and the vet told me the same, don't get up to him.
She did say there would be mess but if I kept getting up he'd expect it all his life. So I didn't get up to him, he whined for an hour but didn't mess inside and he was only 10 weeks old. Since then he's messed inside once, and that was when he was ill.Sigless0 -
It took 6 months for our retriever to go through the night. You have to judge it by the dog0

only took about a week from getting my staff before he could manage through the night. so he would have been about 9 weeks old. after a month or 2 of having him he would go to the patio doors nd wait to be let out when he needed to go. until he learnt to do it outside he just did it anywhere and everywhere - except his crate!!!0

I was lucky, got my fury babe at 16 weeks and she never woke me up at night or made a mess.
Mind it, I was taking her out at midnight and then at 6 am....0
