DD1s history homework is to draw what she would imagine you'd see if looking through a periscope from a trench in WW1. Then back it up with an essay on what you've drawn and why.

(many of my essays at uni were shorter than that so you couldnt waffle apparently but I am sure its because my lecturers didnt like marking them all)
