PS - they also said the CWP is going into the bank on 6th Jan and that one payment has been triggered - however on the government website it says that 2 payments have been triggered for my postcode.
if your in the uk most payments have gone in today but can take up to 3rd jan, if two payments were triggered its for two consecutive weeks of cold weather so imagine one will follow the other.

just read this thread and phoned the job centre with regards to CWP as I am on IS and son DLA and we have never had CWP. I was told this was an automatic payment and I would receive it if I was eligible. I asked them to double check and was asked for my NI number and was then told I was not eligible - I asked why not seeing my son was on DLA, she said they did not know my son was on DLA (there was no note of it on my record)!!! and that I am eligible for CWP afterall. moral of this story - don't take them at their word and ensure they know all of your circumstances!...
question - does this mean I can claim for past CWP that I did not receive?
Do you still get Income support for your child? because getting DLA doesn't automatically qualify you for a CWP.

For example in the case of a child like yours, you would get CWP if you get child tax credits with a disability premium and you get IS.

I have been on IS for 2 years (still am) and get the disability premium in my tax credits since Dec 2008.

So you would only qualify for sure this year since the premium only started at the end of last year in your tax credits. You might at a push be eligible for last year, but I'm not sure there was a lot paid out.

7.1 The Christmas Bonus is an annual payment of £10 that has been paid with the
State Pension, Pension Credit, and a number of disability benefits which go to
working age customers since 1972. It is a tax-free payment and is not taken
into account in the income-related benefits.

7.2 The qualifying benefits are listed in section 150(1) of the Social Security
Contributions and Benefits Act 1992. These benefits include State Pension,
Pension Credit, Incapacity Benefit (long term), Employment and Support
Allowance, Carer’s Allowance, Attendance Allowance, Disability Living
Allowance, bereavement benefits and war pensions.

7.3 To receive the Christmas Bonus a customer must satisfy the residence
conditions and receive a qualifying benefit in the relevant week: this is the
week beginning with the first Monday in December or such other week as may
be specified in an order by the Secretary of State.
