DFS nightmare

Agreed, keep away from CSL - even in your first year if say the cushions go flat (and I don't mean just a little bit) they class it as a chargeable amendment to the original design to come out and refill, and will not accept it as a fault, as my mum found out to her cost (along with sagging/stretched leather)
Used to work for DFS and whilst some of the salesguys and the manager were utter @rses, there were some genuine guys there who really did want to look after the customer and whilst I would never touch certain makes of the sofas, I would happily buy one of the UK based makes
The Head Office is very big on doing the right thing by the customer etc etc it's down the chain it goes wrong at area and store level due to the company being run by salesmen - Mr Tweedale is a very nice man so if you do have a problem go straight to head office and ask for him
The joke on my mum going to CSL is that she refused to go to DFS and allow my ex manager to get comission on her sale, but turned out a) he now manages the CSL store she bought from, and b) they are awful to deal with, blatantly flout the SOGA and unless you have the energy and time you have to fight for anything
Personally would always look at independent stores - we chose Saxon Leather and 5/6yrs later the sofas still look brand new - cost a bit more but was made to measure and you can see and feel the quality0
