Recommended mobile phone PAYG for kids?
I'm on the look out for a mobile for an 11 year old. Must be PAYG and looking for camera, video, mp3 on there as well. Is this available around the £50 mark? Would ideally like something quite solid as I'm guessing it'll be dropped, thrown in the bottom of the school bag etc. I'd appreciate any advise - I know the SE phones usually have decent cameras on them, but I don't really know any other brands well. Also - will all networks put some kind of adult content block on web enabled phones or should I be looking at particular operators.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Orange do a content block for under 18's....
....I'd probably reccommend the SE W205 on PAYG, a slide phone with camera, video and MP3. I think its about £50, and if you get online or from an Orange store you get a free gift box with £35 Skullcandy headphones in, and loads of other small things!0 -
T-Mobile have content lock enabled by default on PAYG0

Cheers for the tip on phone and the gift box. Gift box makes it worthwhle paying a little extra and ordering through the orange website. If anyone else is interested then quidco also do £12 on PAYG over £60. Having a think about the tocco lite or LG Cookie which is a little above our initial budget but would come in about £60 with cashback.
Glad to see the content blocks can be applied - that takes the concern out of internet enabled phones.0 -

Got my 7 year old a lovely pink T mobile vibe phone through KGB deals for £5 instead of £39.99. It has a slide out keyboard, is touch screen, has camera, video, mp3, plays java games which I've managed to download for her for free, and is a lovely phone. Its also got apps preloaded for social networking such as FB and twitter (far too young
)there is a black version. 0 -
