Yes, I'm on XP. It's an M56WC - no make but the installed driver says it is Synaptics It is this one here
Maybe I'm expecting too much for the price (ie for it to actually work :rolleyes:

Yes have tried that too. Have uninstalled software and tried to plug and play with MS software (as some other buyers have managed to do) but still no joy. Starting to think it is a dud :mad:It's easier to get forgiveness than to ask permission

Try http://www.synaptics.com/ for any touch pad updates
