Cordless Mouse Problems

I have just bought a cordless mouse and having charged the battery for 10 hours I still cannot get it to work. It communicates with the dongle (because if I press the button on the dongle it synchronises with the mouse and flashing light which then goes steady once sync is complete) but won't do anything on the screen!

I have checked the properties and it says it is working correctly  Have re installed the software and still no luck  Have tried troubleshooting to no avail.

It is this one from ebuyer

Any suggestions please

Have you looked in Control Panel, Mouse, Hardware, Properties? Is it enabled?

I'd try another battery which you know is fully charged

I have, it says it is enabled and that it is working properly

Yeah.I've been trying to find a battery I can hijack to test that but none to be found in this house:sad:

Have looked at the reviews and all the other buyers have just managed to plug and play

I have a button on the dongle I press and when this flashes irregularly I then have to press a button on the bottom of the mouse. Just an idea.

Cordless pointers are pointless, they cost a fortune on batteries and charging and when they go out of bounds they become a pain.

Optical wheel usb is what is best IMO.

With mine you have to be quick and it doesn't always work 1st time.

    I'll have a think.

    Silly question but,

Have you removed any cellophane that may be underneath?

    Ok first thing first,

What make and model of mouse and are you on XP?

As a driver update maybe on the mouse's manufacturers website.
